Youth Aware is a platform for youth to connect, exchange ideas, and voice their opinions about current events. We believe that the world is in our hands to reshape, recharge, and refresh-and our voices matter. 

This initiative will give you an opportunity to share your thoughts and submit your writing to be published in our magazine.

Hi! My name is Eesha Jain and I am a 8th grader in Bellevue, Washington. I am motivated to spread creativity and inspiration among my community to help people grow! I attempt to look at every situation as an opportunity to learn and encourage others to do the same. I also have a huge passion for STEM. I love every aspect of STEM and I love to learn about the new ways that STEM is being implemented into our day to day lives. I hope you continue to learn, grow, motivate, and inspire! sunehri nog: travel

Hi, I’m Sunehri and I am going into 7th grade this year. I have always loved writing about travel and exciting places to visit in the world, and I want to share that passion with everyone at Youth Aware! I enjoy writing in all genres from science fiction to narrative writing. Especially during this COVID-19 pandemic, I see writing as a way to express myself and to share my experiences and thoughts with the world.

More than anything, I believe that when you and I can create a better life for others, united we create a better world. If there is anything that can be counted on. It's that we all want to make things better, and how we make things better matters more than anything else. As an author and speaker, I write and speak to spread the message of better happens daily.  And all you need to know about me, is that much like yourself, I'm just trying to make things better.  

ivanka varshney: animals

Hi ! I’m Ivanka. I’m 8 years old and I live in Michigan, USA. I’m an avid animal lover and my favorite wild animal is a wolf. My favorite pet is a dog. When I was born, my parents already had 3 rescue dogs at home. I grew up with my fur-siblings and I think that’s where my love for animals came from.I love to spend time with my dogs Molly and Jumbo. I like to visit animal shelters  and volunteer. I also like horse back riding. I like to attend vet classes and visit zoos and petting zoos. I also like to see animals in their natural setting. I’ve been on whale watching trip , seen wild dolphins in the ocean, swam with sting rays, seen wild bears in Alaska, and been to a crocodile farm in Mexico. I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up. I love animals and want to help them in any way that I can.

Climate change has had a drastic impact on animals and plants, especially birds. Bird migration is fascinating, especially when the effects of climate change are considered. Through my column at Youth Aware, I hope to raise awareness about the impact of climate change so we can all come together to protect our planet.

During quarantine, it has become extremely difficult to stay fit due to closure of gyms, pools, parks, etc.According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), physical fitness continues to be important during theCOVID-19 pandemic. Hi Youth Aware! My name is Rebecca and I am a Senior in Bellevue, Washington. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I realized that many of us have found it hard to stay connected with our community. My column aims to provide information about community events and service projects you can participate in to connect with members of your community and help those who need it most in these trying times.
